2022-06-30
30th Geographical Information Science Research UK (GISRUK) Conference.   2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the Geographical Information Science Research UK (GISRUK) conference, the largest academic conference of its kind in the UK. Over the last thirty years, the conference has provided a space for the presentation of research at the cutting edge of GIS, spatial analysis, and geographic data science.   In recognition of this important milestone, a special feature in the Journal of Spatial Information Science will showcase new research presented at the GISRUK 2022 conference. Authors are encouraged to engage with the conference focus on new forms of data and approaches, missingness and representation. However, we welcome high-quality submissions covering all aspects of geographical information science.   In the spirit of GISRUK, JOSIS is an international, interdisciplinary open-access journal run by academics for academics dedicated to publishing high-quality, original research articles in spatial information science. There are no page charges, and all papers are published under Creative Commons licences, allowing the widest possible readership.   Authors should submit their original research articles and mark them for the special feature, following the JOSIS submission rules available here <https://josis.org/index.php/josis/about/submissions>. To be considered for inclusion in the Special Feature, research articles are due no later than the 30th August 2022. Please contact the Special Feature editors Jeremiah Nieves [j.j.nieves@liverpool.ac.uk] and Caitlin Robinson [caitlin.robinson@liverpool.ac.uk] for further information.
